Terms of Service
1 · What you're buying
Frederick & Sons sells self-hosted software modules under a perpetual, per-company license. When your payment validates, you receive a download bundle containing the module's source, tests and documentation, plus a license record. You own your copy and run it on your own infrastructure. The license is not per-seat and does not expire. Optional annual maintenance (updates and support) is priced separately and is never required to keep using what you bought.
2 · License grant and restrictions
Your license permits use, modification and internal deployment by one company (yours), including for products and services you operate. It does not permit reselling, sublicensing or redistributing the modules themselves (or trivially repackaged versions of them) as competing products. We keep the intellectual property; you keep your copy, forever.
3 · Payment
Checkout is settled on-chain in XRP or RLUSD on the XRP Ledger (card payments are coming soon — we will say so on the site when they are live, and we will never ask you to pay by any method not shown on the checkout page). On-chain quotes expire after 30 minutes; a late, tagless or mismatched payment is held for manual review — it is never lost (see the Refund & Recovery policy).
4 · All sales final — with a real recovery path
Licensed software is delivered as source you can inspect, with its tests. Because delivery is instant and the goods are copyable, all sales are final once the bundle is delivered. That is not a trapdoor: if a payment goes wrong — wrong amount, missing destination tag, expired quote, wrong token — your funds are never lost. Email [email protected] with your transaction hash and we will match the payment and either deliver or return it. Full details in the Refund & Recovery policy.
5 · Honest representations
We only claim what we can show. Where a module carries a published provenance card or a signed attestation, the claim links to the artifact (see how it's built). Modules without a published card are described as "audited; provenance card in progress". We publish no customer logos or testimonials we don't have. Software is provided as described on its product page at the time of purchase.
6 · Disclaimer of warranties
Except as expressly stated, the software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. You are responsible for evaluating a module's fitness for your use — the bundles ship with their full test suites precisely so you can.
7 · Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Frederick & Sons' total liability arising out of or relating to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that purchase. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, or for losses arising from how you deploy, configure or operate the software — including financial losses from on-chain transactions executed by systems you run.
8 · Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the legality of your own use, including any regulatory obligations that apply to tokenization, settlement or financial services in your jurisdiction. Our modules are tools; they do not make your offering compliant by themselves.
9 · Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States (the founder's home jurisdiction). Until a legal entity is registered, disputes will be handled in good faith directly — write to [email protected] first; we answer.
10 · Changes
We may update these terms; the "last updated" date above changes when we do. The terms in effect when you purchased govern that purchase.
